Nod y prosiect yw cynyddu caffael cynnyrch Cymreig gan y sector cyhoeddus yng Nghymru gyda ffocws penodol ar ddarpariaeth prydau ysgol awdurdodau lleol.

Bydd hyn yn cael ei gyflawni drwy weithio gydag o leiaf 5 awdurdod lleol ledled Cymru i adolygu eu fframwaith cyflenwi presennol a’u darpariaeth bwydlenni i ddatblygu bwydlen newydd sy’n cynnwys mwy o gynnyrch a chyflenwyr Cymreig.

Bydd gwersi a ddysgwyd ac arfer gorau yn cael eu rhannu gyda darparwyr prydau ysgol yn y sector cyhoeddus a phreifat yn unol â pholisi Llafur Cymru – Plaid Cymru ar gyfer prydau ysgol am ddim i bawb yng Nghymru.

The aim of the project is to increase procurement of Welsh products by the public sector in Wales with a specific focus on local authority school meal provision. This will be achieved by working with a minimum of 5 local authorities across Wales to review their existing supply framework and menu provision to develop a new menu that incorporates more Welsh produce and suppliers. Lessons learnt and best practice will be shared with both public and private sector school meal providers in line with the Welsh Labour – Plaid Cymru policy for universal free school meals in Wales. We are looking for specialist support to contribute towards the delivery.
