II.2.4) Description of the procurement

Devon and Cornwall Police cover a geographic region of over 3,900 Sq Miles and employ over 3,500 Officers. A key element of delivering operational policing are our Neighbourhood Policing Teams who provide a visible resource for the community and our partners with the ability to tackle local issues with a renewed focus on community engagement, reassurance and problem solving. Local policing teams patrol on foot or bike to maximise visibility and community engagement.

Devon and Cornwall Police are therefore beginning a procurement process for the supply and maintenance (Lotted) of approximately 60 (Sixty) Electric Bikes (E-Bikes), which will be issued to the Neighbourhood teams allowing officers to patrol in their local communities and offer a greener and more sustainable option of transport.
