Award of a contract without prior publication of a call for competition

Justification for selected award procedure:

The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the Directive

Explanation:

There is limited competition in the radiopharmaceutical market, Greater Glasgow and Clyde require radiopharmaceutical medical equipment and consumables to carry out specific diagnostic treatments. Therefore for reasons of compatibility and continuity in delivering quality patient care, no other supplier can provide the equipment and consumables other than the incumbent supplier. Due to current timescales, to initiate a procurement exercise would lead to disruption and a negative impact on patient care.

To note, as part of Greater Glasgow and Clyde work plan 2023/2024, radiopharmaceuticals and their associated materials and consumables is to be reviewed and tendered.

As a result of the above, we will now enter into a standstill period of 10 days, concluding on the 17th April and proceed to award the agreement on the 18th April 2023.
