Description of the contract

Provision of peatland restoration works for Snowdonia National Park Authority (SNPA) on behalf of the National Peatland Action Project (NPAP). The works will be carried out at Dol-llech, a blanket bog on the slopes leading up to the Llyn Cowlyd reservoir. The site is drained by nearly 30km of old ditches, some of which have naturally blocked in places, while others remain open and flowing. Restoration of the site will be accomplished by blocking and re-profiling these ditches.
