El objeto del contrato es la fabricación, el suministro y la entrega de contenedores ENUN 52B para el almacenamiento en seco del combustible gastado de la central nuclear de Santa María de Garoña.El contrato comprende las siguientes prestaciones:Suministro de 44 contenedores ENUN 52B para almacenar el combustible gastado de forma segura en el ATI y el ATC, transportar el combustible gastado hasta el ATC, recuperar el combustible gastado para su gestión posterior y cumplir con los límites radiológicos del ATI con 49 contenedores, todo ello para la totalidad de los elementos de combustible gastado almacenados en la piscina de combustible de la central nuclear de Sta. Mª de Garoña.Suministro de cinco módulos de blindaje para los cinco contenedores ENUN 52B adquiridos previamente por Enresa.Licenciamiento ante el CSN del contenedor para albergar y transportar todos los elementos de combustible presentes en la piscina como resultado de la explotación de la central.Entrega de la documentación relativa a los contenedores necesaria para el licenciamiento ante el CSN de las futuras 49 posiciones en el ATI.

Modificación basada en las causas previstas en los pliegos del expediente y derivada de instrucciones del CSN y de las actuaciones comprometidas con el regulador relativas a comprobaciones de compatibilidad geométrica del combustible con los bastidores de los contenedores, y que implican la necesidad de llevar a cabo diversas pruebas adicionales en el nuevo bastidor del contenedor que albergará y transportará los elementos de combustible presentes en la piscina de la central nuclear para garantizar la compatibilidad geométrica del combustible que se incorporarán al proceso de fabricación de los 44 contenedores ENUN-52B en curso.
