         La Unidad hospitalaria de rehabilitación y retorno a la comunidad para adultos con trastorno mental grave, es un dispositivo especializado de carácter hospitalario, incluido en la red de servicios comunitarios de atención a la salud mental, que pretende la rehabilitación e integración en la comunidad de los pacientes con trastornos mentales graves, con un tiempo de estancia entre seis meses y dos años como máximo, pudiéndose prolongar excepcionalmente por periodos de seis meses, en función de los objetivos terapéuticos.
