         El objeto de este contrato es la prestación del servicio de teleasistencia dirigido a personas mayores de 65 años o menores en situación de dependencia, que vivan solas o con personas de similar edad, en la ciudad de Girona.

         La teleasistencia es un servicio técnico de soporte e intervención social que permite a las personas usuarias, mediante la línea telefónica, disponer de un servicio de atención permanente, las 24 horas del día y todos los días del año. Principalmente es un servicio preventivo en casos de soledad, caídas, seguridad y soporte a la red social y familiar.

         Las características del servicio quedan desarrolladas y detalladas en el Pliego de Condiciones Técnicas Particulares.
