Quotations are hereby invited to conduct a feasibility study, economic impact assessment study and for the development of a business plan for the proposed Science and Technology Park at the Railway Sheds in Kariega. The objectives of the study are to: • Determine the demand and market potential for an STP in Kariega. • Identify strategic focus areas, including target sectors (e.g., Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, green tech, automotive, biotech). • Recommend a business model, governance structure, and operational framework within the legal mandate of the MBDA. • Develop a financial plan, including capital and operational budgets, and revenue models. • Identify key stakeholders in the development of such a facility (government departments, private partners, potential tenants, partners, and funding sources for the STP). • Evaluate socioeconomic impacts, particularly in terms of job creation, skills development, and SME growth. • Propose an implementation roadmap, including key risks and mitigation strategies.
