Scope of works: The client is required to collect samples of sediment, water, and animal tissue in various containers, with specific requirements based on the type of analysis being performed. The client requires sample vessel containers of various sizes, ranging from 50 ml to 5l. These containers may include glass, PET, or HDPE bottles, with options for either no liner or Teflon-lined lids, depending on the needs of the analysis. All bottles must be leak-proof, and some will need to withstand refrigeration, freezing, or room temperature storage. Additionally, certain bottles may need to be resistant to chemical reactions. Specifications will include but are not limited to: • Polypropylene Sample Containers: - Material: Polypropylene, - Volume: 50 ml to 100 ml, - Temperature Resistance: Suitable for both room temperature, freezing and refrigeration, • High-density polyethylene (HDPE) or PET Sample Containers: - Volume: 60 ml to 5l, - Features: Leak-proof, - Sterilized: Must be contamination-free, - Temperature Resistance: Suitable for both room temperature, freezing and refrigeration, • Glass Sample Containers: - Jars, vials or bottles, - Volume: 25 ml to 250 ml, - Temperature Resistance: Suitable for both room temperature, freezing and refrigeration, • Additional requirements: - Zipper seal plastic bags, - 25l Jerry cans, - 20l buckets, - 30 ml Glass vials, • General Container Requirements: - All containers must come with lids or closures that ensure airtight sealing, - Containers must be non-reactive to prevent sample contamination during storage or transport - food grade, - All containers must be new. .

18-10-2024 Bids are hereby invited for the supply and delivery of HDPE pipes and fittings. The service provider will be required to supply, deliver and offloading of HDPE pipes, and fittings at the clients various stores. Materials to be supplied are expected to meet the following requirements: • The pipes required must conform to SANS 4427-2: PE100 SDR11, PN16 High Density Black Polyethylene pressure pipes and bear the SANAS accredited certifications bodies mark, • All the pipes must be non-toxic and non-tainting and be manufactured from virgin material, • The outside diameter and wall thicknesses of the High-Density Polyethylene pipes, as defined in the SANS 4427-2 specification, must comply strictly with the tolerances given. Oval and out of roundness pipe will not be accepted, • Upon transportation all pipes must be packed and protected to prevent scratches and kinking during transportation. Scratched, scored, or kinked pipe will not be accepted, • The pipe must be supplied in lengths as follows: a) Pipes ranging between 016mm – 050mm diameter in 100-meter coils, b) Pipes ranging between 063mm – 075mm diameter in 50-meter coils. The contract is a once off contract. .
