Bids are hereby invited for the supply and delivery of HDPE pipes and fittings. The service provider will be required to supply, deliver and offloading of HDPE pipes, and fittings at the clients various stores. Materials to be supplied are expected to meet the following requirements: • The pipes required must conform to SANS 4427-2: PE100 SDR11, PN16 High Density Black Polyethylene pressure pipes and bear the SANAS accredited certifications bodies mark, • All the pipes must be non-toxic and non-tainting and be manufactured from virgin material, • The outside diameter and wall thicknesses of the High-Density Polyethylene pipes, as defined in the SANS 4427-2 specification, must comply strictly with the tolerances given. Oval and out of roundness pipe will not be accepted, • Upon transportation all pipes must be packed and protected to prevent scratches and kinking during transportation. Scratched, scored, or kinked pipe will not be accepted, • The pipe must be supplied in lengths as follows: a) Pipes ranging between 016mm – 050mm diameter in 100-meter coils, b) Pipes ranging between 063mm – 075mm diameter in 50-meter coils.
