Urban areas, landscape and strategy for first floors at Dokken

Description: Dokken is a large and strategically important urban development area with a central location in Bergen. The transformation of the area from port and industrial area to a new, open and compound district is one of the most significant urban development assignments in the city in recent times. The development of the Dokken provides a unique opportunity to establish a centrist district where residences, workplaces, urban spaces and public orientated functions are included in a general structure and where the sea front is developed as an accessible and attractive common benefit to the city"s population. The competition programme deals with a design contest for urban areas and landscapes, with the accompanying strategy for first floors, at Møhlenpriskaien, Frieleneskaien, Dokkeskjæret and Jekteviken – hereafter referred to as Dokken Sør.All information about this design competition is in the tender documentation.
