Procurement of a new tank lorry for Nore and Uvdal fire service.

Description: BackgroundNore and Uvdal municipalities shall procure a new tank lorry for Nore and Uvdal fire service in order to replace the existing vehicle. The current vehicle does not satisfy the municipality"s need for water capacity and stand-by, as well as the current requirements or standard.The municipality has a large geographical area with scattered settlements and cottage populations, long turn-out distances and demanding driving conditions, including narrow and steep roads. The Fire-Brigade handles a wide range of call-outs, including fire in buildings, fire in forests and outlying areas, traffic events/accidents and much more, where access to water can be limited and own capacity is decisive. Procurement will be carried out to meet increased contingency needs and applicable requirements for safety, working environment and transport of crew, as well as to ensure a reliable and future orientated tank vehicle that can be included in the fire service ́s operative service year round. Description of the assignment Assignment includes the delivery of a complete new tank vehicle for fire and rescue service, including the necessary equipment to be put into operative operation. The vehicle shall be delivered EU certified and be built in accordance with relevant standards for fire Tank vehicle shall be adapted to the municipality ́s topography and road standard, with good accessibility and capacity for water transport and water supply in accordance with commitment. The system shall also ensure safe and ergonomic transport of crews, as well as having high operational security for year-round use. The delivery shall further include appropriate fixtures and fixing systems for fire material, standard accessories, necessary documentation, as well as training and service/after-inspection in connection with hand-over.
