      4. Description of the procurement:
         

         The purpose of the procurement:

         NMBU would like to enter into a framework agreement for periodical inspection and maintenance of manual extinguishing equipment and smoke lids at Campus Ås. The contract will ensure that statutory inspection and maintenance is complied with and covers NBMU"s need for goods and services as described in the procurement documents.

         The Veterinary Institute (VI) at Campus Ås has an option to join the contract.

         Scope of the procurement:

         The framework agreement will also include periodical inspections of, amongst other things, fire-proofing, delivery of fire-doors etc., as described in the requirement table below. The amounts given below apply for today"s date. If required, there can be minor adjustments during the contract period.

         NMBU currently has 386 hoses and approx. 700 other extinguishers.

         VI currently has 28 hoses and 93 other extinguishers.

         The contracting authority also requires a minor amount of consultancy services on questions related to practical fire protection. This can beab out the placement of extinguishing equipment, escape conditions, etc.

         Periodical inspections and checks, as well as maintenance of smoke lids:

         NMBU currently has 33 smoke liks distributed in the different buildings.

         VI currently has 7 smoke lids.

         The framework agreement will also, upon request, cover courses in fire protection and extinguishing exercises.
