         "Approach Mo i Rana" is a collaborative project wherein several sub-projects will be carried out in Mo i Rana. The project owner and contracting parties are the Norwegian Coastal Administration and Rana Municipality, and the collaboration is regulated by a formal collaboration agreement between the organisations.

         The project includes dredging and construction of a new deep water quay at Langneset, west of the Rana industrial terminal and dredging at the Toranester terminal.

         The purpose of the project is to reduce the risk of ship accidents, increase the capacity of the harbour infrastructure and improve accessibility for ship traffic that comes to call at the terminals in Mo i Rana.

         The project can be summarised as follows:

         - Establishment of a landfill site

         - Dredging of Toranes and Langneset

         - Establishment of new quay and back areas at Langneset
