Through this request for information (RFI), Norway"s International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI) is seeking information about existing and planned satellite data products, including the access to the data. The intention of the RFI is to find out what assets that could fulfil the requirements of NICFI and what new supplementary products can be made available starting September 2024, with the purpose of contributing to informed decisions regarding the future of the NICFI Satellite Data Program.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The main purpose of the NICFI satellite data program is to regularly generate and distribute a cloud-free dataset of the tropical areas (between the 30 degrees Northern and Southern latitudes) for monitoring status and changes in forest cover, by means of multispectral instruments. The data is to be provided open and freely to users serving the purpose of NICFI.

The deadline for contributing to the RFI is 24 October 2023.
