         This is an invitation to a contest for a turnkey contract for the construction of a new day activity centre. The procurement concerns the construction of a day activity centre for adult mentally disabled persons at Helgerødveien 109 in Sandefjord Municipality. The users of the building cannot work in protected companies or other companies with a commercial basis. They can have additional major physical disabilities that require major aids and one-to-one follow-up. However it is very important that the activities benefit society by, for example, providing services for other municipal activities. Furthermore, those who work have different ages and interests, and it is important that they can identify themselves with others who work there and social assignments in the municipality. The planned functions here are car washing and simple carpentry work. Furthermore a kitchen is planned that can provide food for municipal canteens and meetings. A spinning mill for production to order is also a planned service. There are also premises for printing in the building.

         In addition the procurement includes alterations to surface water pipelines and a stream opening, lime stabilisation, landscape work, and the establishment of a new foot and cycle path.

         The project has high environment ambitions and will be Breeam certified at Excellent level.
