County road 19 to Skoppum railway station, foot and cycle path
Reference number: 23/104466The project includes construction of a new 2,600 m foot/cycle path along county road 19. The
foot/cycle path starts in the west at the new Skoppum station, and in the east it connects with the existing foot/cycle path east of Lørgetunnel. The foot/cycle path will be constructed to be 3.5 metres wide (3.0 metres of asphalt and 0.25 metres of shoulder on each side), and will be located at varying distances from county road 19 depending on the roadside terrain. From Skoppum station and eastwards to Adalsbrua, the foot/cycle path will be close to couty road 19, and H2 concrete railings will be installed here. The foot/cycle path must be illuminated so that pedestrians and cyclists have a good and traffic-safe offer.

Due to challenging ground conditions, the foot/cycle path must be moved slightly away from
existing motorway bridge over Adalsbekken. Here, the height of the foot/cycle path is determined by the amount of soil that can be added to the area. In addition, the area must also be stabilised with both load relief and backfilling. This means that the closest part of Adalsbekken must be altered and the vegetation in the peripheral zone removed in connection with the landslide protection. The area will then be replanted and new edge vegetation will be established. The stream must be plastered and protected against erosion where there is a hazard in terms of excavation. It is important that the new course of the stream ensures that the hillside is reflected in the water.
The contract will be executed as a model-based project in accordance with handbook R110.
