Procurement of 2 platelet aggregometers

The Institute for Internal Medicine Research and the Department of Immunology and Transfusion Medicine at Rikshospitalet shall procure a user-friendly system that can analyse and measure aggregation of thrombocytes (blood platelets) in plasma and whole blood, including simultaneous measurement of their granular secretion from platelets.

The instruments offered must be able to perform two and four measurements simultaneously, where aggregation and secretion are measured in parallel.

Systems offered must comply with the platelet aggregometry (light transmission aggregometry) method, which is the gold standard for platelet function testing.

The examination can very quickly reveal platelet function defects and medication effects on platelets and is an important part of the assessment of, for example, bleeding tendencies. The aggregometer is also used for general platelet activation studies to look at the effects of various agents (proteins, viruses, etc.) on platelets.

See the attached requirements specification.

Based on the above, to our knowledge, only Chrono-log provided by Triolab AS has a satisfactory solution. It is therefore assumed that Triolab AS is the only supplier that can deliver in accordance with the requirements.

The terms in the PPR § 13-4 (2) are considered to be met. Any appeals must be sent to the project manager within 10 days of the publication of this notice.

There is a need for systems that can analyse and measure the aggregation of platelets in plasma and whole blood, with simultaneous measurement of dense granule secretion from the platelets. The measurement method must in accordance with the platelet aggregometry method.

The terms in the PPR § 13-4 (2) are considered to be met. Any appeals must be sent to the project manager within 10 days of the publication of this notice.
