         The current communication systems on Jan Mayen are primarily based on GEO satellites, which results in limitations in terms of lag and bandwidth requirements. The OneWeb terminal OW70L-DAC (satellite broadband) has therefore been procured to achieve increased bandwidth and lower lag to the mainland.
