         The aim of the notice is to enter into a quality and financially appropriate contract that covers Nofima"s need for an administered IT platform with flexible services for processing, saving, network, and final user equipment (device management).

         Nofima would like the provider operational services to have total responsibility for the platform, including the operation of servers, network, and unit administration of final user equipment (device management) throughout the entire life cycle. The tenderer will operate, secure, monitor, maintain, and further develop the systems so that they function in the best possible way for Nofima throughout the entire contract period.

         The service will serve all of Nofima"s localities and users.

         The services covered by the procurement consist of, amongst other things: Computer centre operation - Network operation - LAN, WAN, VPN, WiFi, Integration, identity, and access management - Operation of software - Operation of clients (PC or MAC). Nofima will prefer cloud services when there are not any special obstacles to use them and when such services give the most appropriate and cost efficient solution. Tenders that mean a transition not a partial or completely cloud base service will therefore be equally relevant as tenders that are based on operation in Nofima"s or the tenderer"s own operations centre.

         The ambition is to only use standardised deliveries based on a cloud-first strategy, with the use of private cloud services from a Norwegian location and/or general cloud services such as Microsoft Azure - delivered from the EU.

         The services covered by the contract must develop over time in line with the innovation in the market so that Nofima can exploit new innovations within Big Data, artificial intelligence - AI, machine learning, interaction, and other relevant services areas in the coming years. The tenderer will in this way be a strategic cooperation party within the modernisation and digitalisation of the IT portfolio in Nofima.
