Tenderers are invited to apply for the award of a concession for the provision of assistance hours in the BPA scheme. Any provider that meets the qualification requirements and minimum requirements will be granted a concession.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

Bjørnafjorden Municipality has decided to introduce a service concession scheme for user control personal assistance (BPA). This means that users who have been awarded BPA can choose between private suppliers as the supplier of the service (user choice). Tenderers are invited to apply for the award of a concession for the provision of assistance hours in the BPA scheme. Any provider that meets the qualification requirements and minimum requirements will be granted a concession.

Per January 2023, a total of approx. 880 hours of user-managed personal assistance are provided for 22 users a week in Bjørnafjorden Municipality.

The current service concession scheme expires on 31.12.2023. The existing decision on BPA also expires on 31.12.2023. Users of all new awards of BPA starting from 01.01.2024 will only be able to choose between the suppliers that are awarded a service concession under the new scheme.
