In 2021, Parliament passed a law on the use of small electric vehicles on public roads. Ålesund municipality has prepared a local regulation to the law. The regulation means that the providers of the hire of electric scooters must have permit from the municipality to hiring out electric vehicles on all public ground. The municipality shall publish a contract for the permit annually. To achieve a permit the lessors to must comply with the minimum requirements to the application.
Ålesund municipality is hereby inviting tenderers to apply for the permit period from 01 May to 31 May 2023 for e-scooter riders on public land.
The application must be submitted via Ålesund municipality"s digital application platform by 19.04.2023. (see annexes with links)
