         Egge School currently consists of four school buildings - the old school from 1921, the gym building, an extension, and the wraparound care pavilion. The external facade on the old school is classified as worthy of protection.

         The old school and the gym building are to be environmentally cleared, whilst the extension and wraparound care pavilion are to be demolished. This work will be done in another contract. After the environment clearing has taken place, the old school is to be renovated and connected to a new extension. In total the new school will consist of approx. 2240 m2 (without the gym hall), of which approx. 670 m2 is the old school and approx. 1570 m2 is the

         new extension.

         The contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the contest if there is a justifiable reason, for example, if the planned financing is withdrawn, a lack of political approval, or conditions that do not allow the planned delivery within the approved investment frameworks.

         Particular attention is drawn to the fact that the project is currently not fully financed. The final economic limit for the construction of new Egge School will be politically decided in the municipal council meeting on 9 May, after the tender contest has been held.
