SH39 Symes Bridge Superstructure Replacement (Новая Зеландия - Тендер #70182695)

This is a Physical Works contract for the superstructure replacement of the Symes Bridge (Moakurarua Stream) (BSN 5620) is located on Sh29 approximately 11 km south of Pirongia. The existing substructure will remain in place to support the new superstructure, and will be strengthened.

The Contract Works comprise of:

- replacement of the existing bridge superstructure with a new superstructure (steel I girders with a composite reinforced concrete deck slab)
- strengthening of the pier crosshead and modification to the abutment wingwalls
- installation of a thrie-beam barrier system
- regrading and widening (granular pavement) of the existing carriageway approaches
- relocation of two Chorus ducts and a Vodafone fibre optic cable on the new bridge deck
- construction of a rock revetment (D50 = 500mm) and reno rock mattress

Only tenderers pre-qualified to level “Bridge Construction – Level B (3B)” and “Surfacing – Level C (2C)” under the terms of the Transport Agency’s Prequalification System are eligible to submit a tender.
