Sonic Weapon System

Description: The main scope of this European tendering procedure, which will be specified in the Draft Agreement, consists of the following: The procurement of the Remote Controlled Sonic Weapon System (SWS) with the following functional requirements: The system must function as an one-way communication (hailing) device for surrounding shipping and be capable of deterring incoming (potential) threats and/or disorienting a crew of a possible threat. All to be done by high volume tone, operator voice and/or prerecorded messages. The SWS must be compatible with integration into the Combat Management System (CMS) and Integrated Mission Management System (IMMS) for remote control and with the ships Internal/External Communication System (EICS) for voice, pre-recorded messages and tone. The SWS camera feed must be viewable via the CMS using the ships Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) video system.
