Description: The University of Groningen (RUG) intends to purchase an upgrade for the existing EBSD camera currently installed on the Thermo Fisher NovaNanoSEM 650, and install a new EDX/EBSD setup on the Thermo Fisher Helios G5 CX. The replacement EBSD detector must be fully compatible with the existing EDX setup currently installed on the NovaNanoSEM 650 microscope.  The EBSD camera will replace the current, outdated camera and integrate with the existing EDAX-EDX unit. Furthermore, a new software package (EDAX OIM Matrix) will be purchased  to allow users to simulate EBSD patterns based on the physics of dynamical diffraction of electrons. Simulated patterns can then be used for spherical indexing, structure file optimization, and simulated background calculations. Includes Master Pattern Library with over 450 phases as well as 10 licenses for online and offline use. If there are parties who can meet all the requirements mentioned in this document, please respond to this market consultation before 25-03-2026. If there are no reactions, the RUG will proceed with the purchase from Ametek EDAX of the EBSD camera and the EDX/EBSD and software upgrade meant for the Scanning Electron Microscopes from Thermo Fisher Scientific without prior publication.
