         Op de Tolakker zal een Onderwijs & Onderzoeksfaciliteit (O&O Tolakker) komen waar diergeneeskundig onderwijs met zieke dieren gegeven wordt en waar onderzoek gedaan wordt passend binnen het ‘One Health’ thema. Studenten maken hier laagdrempelig kennis mee en doen basale competenties op. Zo geeft de faciliteit op de Tolakker ze een goede basis om de onderdelen van de opleiding buiten de campus succesvol te vervolgen. Daarnaast wordt hier verdiepend diergebonden onderzoek gedaan. Dit is een essentiële schakel in het onderzoek van molecuul tot populatie dat de faculteit ambieert. Dit is onmogelijk uit te voeren op gewone praktijkbedrijven. De O&O faciliteit zorgt voor verbinding tussen onderzoek en de maatschappij.

         Vanuit bouwperspectief wordt de nieuwe faciliteit duurzaam, energieleverend, toekomstbestendig en circulair.
