         Gemeente Purmerend is voornemens op aan de Mercuriusweg 2 te Purmerend nieuwbouw te realiseren voor de scholen SBO Het Plankier (scholenstichting CPOW) en SO Alexander Roozendaalschool (scholenstichting VierTaal) inclusief een binnensportaccommodatie. Om plaats te maken voor de nieuwbouw wordt de bestaande bebouwing gesloopt. Het doel is om de krachten van beide scholen te bundelen in één schoolgebouw en uit te groeien tot een regionaal expertisecentrum Speciaal Basisonderwijs – Speciaal Onderwijs (afgekort als: SBO-SO).

         Het doel van deze aanbesteding is het sluiten van een overeenkomst met één opdrachtnemer voor het leveren van een integraal ontwerpteam voor het totaalontwerp- en advies voor de nieuwbouw Mercuriusweg, ook wel gedefinieerd als total engineering.
