De DPIA’s hebben betrekking op het platform van de te onderzoeken Programmatuur en Clouddiensten en gaan niet over specifieke gegevensverwerkingen en bedrijfsprocessen. Binnen deze dienst wordt ook gebruik gemaakt van AI (Artificiële intelligentie). Dit is een belangrijk onderdeel van de DPIA. De verwachting is dat er per jaar 3 DPIA´s moeten worden uitgevoerd, 3 technische Verificatieonderzoeken en 1 Aanverwant onderzoek zoals een IAMA op producten en diensten van Microsoft, Google of AWS. De precieze verdeling per Hyperscaler is nu nog niet bekend.
