VII.2.1)Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

De werkzaamheden betreffen het meerjarig in stand houden, monitoren en informeren over de toestand van het E&W/IA areaal van objecten gelegen in en langs de Maas en aftakkingen (van Eijsden grens tot brug rijksweg A27, Sluis St. Andries en Wilhelminasluis). De wijzigingen hebben betrekking op onvoorziene omstandigheden en/of noodzakelijke aanvullende werkzaamheden:

- Wijzigingsopdracht 31137033: 952.360,99 Euro exclusief BTW

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire (Art. 43(1)(b) of Directive 2014/23/EU, Art. 72(1)(b) of Directive 2014/24/EU, Art. 89(1)(b) of Directive 2014/25/EU)
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

De Wijzigingen vallen binnen de algemene aard van de opdracht en drempelwaarde. Het meerwerk betreft het vervangen van de bestaande PLC"s en Scada systeem van sluis Lith. Het huidige PLC en Scada systeem zijn geplaatst in 1999 en hebben daarmee hun theoretische levensduur ruim overschreden. Daarnaast zijn onderdelen door de leverancier niet meer servicebaar. Dat betekent dat bij storingen niet zeker is of er nog reservematerialen verkrijgbaar zijn en als deze al verkrijgbaar zijn dan zijn het refurbished producten die al eens gerepareerd zijn. Het risico dat de sluis bij uitval van het PLC systeem langdurig niet meer beschikbaar is wordt hierdoor zeer groot De werkzaamheden zijn technisch noodzakelijk voor beheer van de sluis en de aanpassingen zijn noodzakelijk vanwege einde levensduur.
