         Het azM, tevens handelend onder de naam Maastricht UMC+, is voornemens om de levering van CI"s en BCD"s t.b.v. KNO/Audiologie aan te besteden. Aanbestedende dienst poogt hiertoe een raamovereenkomst te sluiten met meerdere ondernemers voor de duur van 4 jaar. De patiënt en arts beslissen welk implantaat wordt gekozen. 

         De aanbesteding geschiedt volgens de openbare procedure (de openbare procedure is een aanbestedingsprocedure met maar één ronde, waarop iedere ondernemer mag inschrijven) conform de Europese richtlijn voor overheidsopdrachten 2014/24/EU en de daaruit voortvloeiende "Aanbestedingswet 2012" van 1 juli 2016.

         Gunning vindt plaats op basis van gunningscriterium economisch meest voordelige inschrijving op basis van de beste prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.
