Request for Proposal (RFP)

Rental of Mobile Gas Turbine rated 25-30MW for site at Jin-Fei Mauritius

OPEN INTERNATIONAL BIDDING

The Central Electricity Board (CEB) invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for the Rental of Mobile Gas Turbine rated 25-30MW for site at Jin-Fei Mauritius

The complete sets of Bidding Documents can be downloaded free of charge from the CEB’s website at : https://ceb.mu/procurement/tender

Any clarification sought by bidders in respect of this bidding exercise shall be addressed to The Chairman Tender Committee, Central Electricity Board on e-mail address: ctc@ceb.mu

Bids in sealed envelopes, clearly marked “RFP-PRD-2025-8880: Rental of Mobile Gas Turbine rated 25-30MW for site at Jin-Fei Mauritius” and addressed to The Chairman Tender Committee, should be either deposited in the Tender Box at CEB Office, Royal Road, Curepipe, Republic of Mauritius or sent by registered post or courier service to the address mentioned above on Wednesday 27 August 2025 by 13.30 hours (Mauritian time) at latest.

Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be returned unopened.

Bidders shall furnish an original Bid Security along with their bids in the amount equivalent to MUR 50 Million. The Bid Security shall be issued by a Commercial Bank operating in Mauritius and shall remain valid up to 30 days after the Bid Validity date, i.e. up to 24 March 2026.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday 07 August 2025 at 10:30 hours (local time) at the CEB Jin-Fei 66kV/22kV Substation, Baie-du-Tombeau Road, Terre Rouge.

Bids will be opened on Wednesday 27 August 2025 as from 13.45 hours (Mauritian time) in the Conference Room, Central Electricity Board Office, 3rd Floor, New Building, Royal Road, Curepipe, Republic of Mauritius in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

The Central Electricity Board (CEB) reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to award of the Contract, without thereby incurring any liability to any Bidder.
