Description: The BarMar Project aims to develop the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) for a new cross-border subsea pipeline system connecting Spain and France. The scope of work includes the engineering of onshore and offshore facilities required to transport renewable gases between the Barcelona LNG Terminal area and the Fos-sur-Mer region. The FEED package will cover the following main facilities: Onshore Facilities in Spain (Barcelona) Compressor Station at the Barcelona LNG Terminal: FEED development for a new compression facility required to ensure the necessary pressure and flow conditions for offshore transmission. Reception and Metering Facilities: Engineering of receiving systems, metering, and associated process units located onshore in Barcelona. Landfall Works: Design of the landfall infrastructure for the pipeline exit/entry point at the Spanish coastline. (Note: The electrical grid connection and transformer station are out of scope.) Offshore Pipeline (Spain–France) FEED for an approximately 400 km subsea gas pipeline, including route definition, layout engineering, installation methodology, corrosion protection, crossings, and all associated offshore systems. Onshore Facilities in France (Fos-sur-Mer) Landfall Works: Design of the landfall and tie-in area at the French coastline. (Note: Reception and metering facilities, as well as the electrical connection and transformer station in France, are out of scope.) Overall, the FEED will define the technical concept, design parameters, cost basis, permitting inputs, and execution strategy for all in-scope components, data sheets of LLI´s, documentation for tendering the EPC services, etc, providing the required maturity for progressing the project into the next development phase.
