Procurement Services Announcement – Environmental and Social Specialist (World Bank Procurement Regulation)

The Ministry of Education is seeking an Environmental and Social Specialist to support the Development Coordination Unit (DCU) in overseeing the environmental and social aspects of the MASAR project. The specialist will ensure that all project activities comply with environmental and social requirements, monitor mitigation measures, conduct evaluations, and prepare reports to ensure sustainable implementation of the program.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in environmental and social management, preferably in development projects.
• Familiarity with the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) or other international standards.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanisms, and occupational health and safety.
• Strong writing and editing skills in Arabic and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
