II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

ESB Networks, National Network, Local Connections Programme, Beat the Peak Business (BTPB) will launch a new qualification system, similar to Beat the Peak Active (BTPCA) which launched last year and Beat the Peak Daily (BTPCD) that launched earlier this year.

The purpose of Beat the Peak Business is to allow the Contracting Entity facilitate reducing peak demand during Daily Events by Flexible Services Assets, through Flexible Service Providers with respect to daily electricity demand between 16:30hrs to 19:00hrs on Business Days in Ireland, commencing in Q4 2023 until March 2025, or 30th September 2025 if extended.

Applicants will need to register as a Supplier in the eTenders system in order to respond to this qualification process. Supplier registration is free of charge. The Qualification System Questionnaire (QSQ) constitutes an integral part of ESB"s procurement process for Beat the Peak Business. Applicants will be given the opportunity to be awarded contracts for these services, should they successfully progress through the qualification process. The purpose of the Questionnaire is to identify suitable Applicants who meet the Contracting Entities qualifying requirements to provide demand down services. In order to apply for inclusion on the qualification system, applicants must complete and return a QSQ response through the eTenders system - see RFT 243565
