• The National Institute of Transport through the Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the East Africa Skill for Transformation and Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Furniture for Five Buildings for the Centre of Excellence in Aviation and Transport Operations.
• The National Institute of Transport now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of Furniture for the Center of Excellence in Aviation and Transport Operations at the National Institute of Transport, Ubungo- Mabibo, Dar es Salaam, within the delivery period of not less than 120 days.
• Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” 1st July 2016 revised August 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from National Institute of Transport, P. O. Box 705, Mabibo Road, Ubungo Light Industrial Area, in Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 0900 to 1600, Monday to Friday except public holidays at the address given below.
• The bidding document is in English Language may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 50 or Tanzanian Shillings 100,000/=.

• All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security of USD 60,000/= or Tanzanian Shilling 150,000,000/=
• Bids must be delivered in One Original and Two copies of the document, properly filled in, enclosed in plain envelopes and must be addressed to the Rector, National Institute of Transport, P.O. Box 705, Mabibo Road Ubungo Light Industrial Area in Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam-Tanzania.

Attention to: Project Procurement Officer, Accounts Building Block No. 5, First Floor at the Office of Project Procurement Officer for the Center of Excellence in Aviation and Transport Operations (CoEATO), EASTRIP Project before 11.00 am on 19th January, 2024. Late bids will be rejected. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at National Institute of Transport, Michael Sanga Boardroom, Administration Block at 11.00 am.

• The Bidders have to submit the Original Bid Security as per the format provided in the Bidding Documents on or before 18th January, 2024 to address provided below. In case the original copy of the Bid Security is not submitted by bidder at the date and time specified, the bid will not be considered.
• Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”
