  • The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project (HoAGDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Motor Vehicles.
  • The Kenya Revenue Authority now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and Delivery of Motor vehicles as listed below

3. Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. A pre-bid briefing for will be conducted online on Wednesday, 3rd May 2023 at 1100 Hrs. Join the briefing using this link provided in the bidding document.

5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Deputy Commissioner, Supply Chain Management, Kenya Revenue Authority through eprocurement@kra.go.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours, 0900 hrs and 1600hrsEast African Time (EAT), every day excluding weekends and public holidays at the address given below.

6. The bidding document in English shall be downloaded free of charge from www.kra.go.ke.

7. Submission of bids shall strictly be done through the KRA E-Procurement Portal. Prospective bidders should register on KRA’s website; www.kra.go.ke by clicking “New Supplier Registration” under the E-Procurement Tab. For assistance on the supplier portal or registration, visit any KRA Procurement Office countrywide or email: srmsupport@kra.go.ke. Completed bids are to be saved as PDF files named with the relevant tender description and submitted in the KRA E-procurement Web Portal to be received on or before Thursday, 25 May, 2023 at 1100 Hrs (EAT). Note: Submission should strictly be done through KRA E-Procurement Portal. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 25th May 2023 at 1100hrs (EAT).

8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security valid for 365 days from the date of tender closing. The amount of bid security required is Kenya Shillings or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency as tabulated below:

The physical original bid security is to be submitted in the Tender Security Box located on the Ground Floor of Times Tower Building, Haile Selassie Avenue, Nairobi. Late bid security will be rejected and thus invalidating the respective bid. Bids will be opened electronically promptly after closing time and Bidders or their representatives are welcome to witness the opening on the 21st Floor, Times Tower Building on Thursday 25th May 2023 at 1100hrs EAT.

9. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
