Explanation:

Landspitali - University hospital is procuring for GE Expert 22 ultrasound system. This is for additional deliveries by the original supplier as partial replacement of supplies where a change of supplier would oblige the contracting authority to acquire supplies having different technical characteristics which will result in incompatibility and disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and Maintainance. In these circumstances, Lanspítalinn does not consider it possible to compete for this agreement at this time as no one on the market except this specific party can provide this specialized technology that meets Landspítali"s requirements. The timeline needed to obtain and obtain is in line with current needs.
