The service in question is primarily a service for elderly persons that must be carried out according to Chapter X of the Act on Municipal Social Services no. 40/1991 regarding services for the elderly and 3 tl. Paragraph 1 Article 13 Act no. 125/1999 on matters of the elderly.
The person providing the service must be able and ready to take care of the elderly from the person"s home until they arrive at day care. The person who performs the service, both permanent employees and replacement employees, must receive education and training at the beginning of the job and then as needed to perform the job. According to the nature of the matter, it must be ensured that the person performing the service can do the job in question, can work with the elderly, has a perfect command of Icelandic, etc.
The service falls under Regulation no. 1000/2016 (Annex IV, Directive 2014/23/EU) the cpv no. 85000000-9 health and social services and cpv no. 85311100-3 welfare services for the elderly.
