N4/N16 Sligo Urban Active Travel and Road Safety Improvement Scheme

Description: Sligo County Council, through the Sligo Regional Design Office, intends to procure multidisciplinary consultancy services, together with specialist expertise as required, for the N4/N16 Sligo Urban Active Travel and Road Safety Improvement Projects. The Scheme has been divided into two separate projects: 1. Road Safety Improvement Scheme 2. N4/N16 Sligo Urban Active Travel Project. This is to allow the Road Safety Improvement scheme which has a High Collision Location element of the works to be progressed urgently. This location has experienced a significant number of collisions and therefore requires immediate intervention, rather than waiting for the full development timeline of the broader Active Travel Project. The N4/N16 Sligo Urban Active Travel project involves the development of Active Travel infrastructure along the N16 Primary Road corridor, extending from the AbbVie Roundabout to the N4/N16 junction.
