NIAH SURVEY OF CLARE 2026 (PHASE 1)

Description: 3.2 The project for tender is for the recording of 1000 sites/structures/groups of structures in the above-described survey area. 725 sites/structures/groups of structures have been identified by the NIAH and the 725 total includes an allowance of 40 sites/structures/groups of structures which may have been overlooked and which the Contractor may consider warrant inclusion in the survey. 275 of the sites/structures/groups of structures are a resurvey of the 1997 NIAH survey of Clare. 3.3 The 1000 sites/structures/groups of structures include 30 sites/structures/groups of structures in previously published surveys or on the Clare County Council Record of Protected Structures which the NIAH considers no longer warrant a Regional Rating. These sites/structures/groups of structures will be recorded according to the "quick survey" methodology set out in the NIAH Handbook Edition July 2025. The "quick survey" methodology requires minimal resources and this should be reflected in a reduced price-per-record fee in the Tender Price.
