RFT for New Welding Room Civils Work at SmartPly Europe DAC"25

Description: SMARTPLY Europe DAC are seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified construction companies to construct a new welding room at their facility at Belview, Slieverue, Waterford, X91 PX75 as per the attached specification. SmartPly will act as PSCS. The proposed works are detailed on the Tender Drawings. The works include: • Removal Works • Concrete Works • New Roller Door Supply + Installation • Waste Removal Requirements 1. Removal works a. Removal of steel collars from ops in walls (work at high levels) i. Wall 1 Ops sizes = 400Ø x2 100Ø x1 ii. Wall 2 Ops sizes = 200Ø x2 100Ø x1 iii. Wall 3 Ops sizes = 400Ø x6 200Ø x3 300Ø x1 100Ø x1 b. Open roller door between rooms and leave in place. c. Removal of Ramp between rooms from roller door location. d. Remove Ramp under roller door into plant e. Remove Single personnel door between rooms. (W1000 x H2100) f. Remove single personnel door to allow removal of step to lower door position to level with floor. (access/egress onto plant floor) door to be re-installed. g. Cut 3m channel 50mm x 50mm in floor to install steel cable conduit for electrical supply to band saw. h. Make opening in outside wall for new single fire exit door (W1000 x H2100) i. Remove plinth outside of building wall (new fire exit door location) 2. Concrete works a. Close up ops with block work to match existing walls (work at high levels) i. Wall 1 Ops sizes = 400Ø x2 100Ø x1 ii. Wall 2 Ops sizes = 200Ø x2 100Ø x1 iii. Wall 3 Ops sizes = 400Ø x6 200Ø x3 300Ø x1 100Ø x1 b. Close up roller door opening with block work to match existing wall c. Close up single door opening with block work to match existing wall. d. Replace single personnel door at lower floor level – opening at top of door required to be closed (access/egress onto plant floor) e. Pour section of cable channel level to existing floor level. f. Pour new floor section at roller doors to existing floor levels. g. Pour new section of concrete yard to match existing yard level outside building. h. Concrete should be Grade C30/37 and steel mesh included. 3. New Roller door supply + Installation a. New roller door to include framework and flashings to be supplied and installed in outside building wall opening by the contractor – W3800 x H 4000 b. Section of building sheeting above and to side of new roller door to be supplied and installed. c. New door canopy over fire exit to be supplied and installed. d. Fire exit door – supplied by SmartPly – installation by contractor 4. Waste Removal requirements a. All metal waste to go to the Smartply metal scrap skip b. All electrical waste to go to the electrical waste skip c. Contractor is responsible for the removal of all concrete waste from the SmartPly site to a registered waste site and disposal cert must be returned to SmartPly for EPA waste disposal file 5. Quote Requirements a. Contractor required to check site and requirements for installation works. b. Quote to provide breakdown of each individual task + cost i. Removal works ii. Concrete works iii. New Roller door supply and installation iv. Waste removal v. Safety + Method statement vi. Total cost 6. Work schedule a. estimated start time – TBC b. estimated duration of works c. Schedule plan of works 7. Site requirements Please be aware Smartply will require method statements (must be submitted in the Smartply Europe format) – Training records of worker/ Manual Handling certs, Safe pass, MEWP’s etc. Plant Equipment Certs to be uploaded on the Dulann safety system and online induction completed before any work can commence on the Smartply site.
