         Die EVS ist ein privates Eisenbahninfrastrukturunternehmen mit Sitz in Stolberg i. Rheinland. Die EVS betreibt ein Streckennetz eingleisiger Nebenbahnen nach EBO in der StädteRegion Aachen und im Kreis Düren. Die Strecke 2570, Bf Herzogenrath - Stolberg Hbf (ca. 19 km) ist mit einer Oberleitung Re100 unter Verwendung von Stahl-Masten zu elektrifizieren. In den Bahnhöfen Stolberg Hbf und Herzogenrath sind bereits Oberleitungsanlagen 15 kV 16,7 Hz vorhanden. Die Bahnhöfe Stolberg Hbf und Herzogenrath sind Bahnhöfe mit Infrastrukturgrenzen zur DB Netz AG. Drei Infrastrukturübergänge im Bf Herzogenrath sind zu elektrifizieren. Einspeisungen entstehen in

         Herzogenrath (Bestehender Schaltposten der DB Energie GmbH) und Stolberg Hbf (neuer

         Schaltposten der EVS). Der Bau erfolgt in drei Abschnitten unter Vollsperrung.
