         Die Stadt beabsichtigt die Rheinpromenade zwischen der Krischerstraße und der Straße Am Kielsgraben auszubauen. Die Verkehrsführung wird hier komplett überarbeitet, um Verkehrskonflikte zu lösen. Im Zuge des Umbaus der Kulturraffinerie K714 soll die Rheinpromenade aufgewertet und umgestaltet werden. Neben einer fünf Meter breiten Promenade für zu Fuß Gehende soll ein Zweirichtungs-Rad-Weg entstehen und die Straßenbreite für den Autoverkehr verringert werden. Mit dem Umbau des Vorplatzes der Kulturraffinerie soll mit Terrassenanlagen, Grünflächen u. Ä. für mehr Aufenthaltsqualität gesorgt werden. Weiterhin wird im gesamten Ausbaubereich die Entwässerung überarbeitet und angepasst.
