         Unter der Trägerschaft der Landgesellschaft M-V sollen im Rahmen des Paludi-Pilotvorhabens MV Paludikulturen im Polder Sandhagen angelegt werden. Dabei soll die Infrastruktur so hergerichtet werden, dass künftig eine Bewirtschaftung der Niedermoorflächen bei ganzjährig oberflächennahen Wasserständen möglich ist.

         Das vom BMUV finanzierte Projekt dient den Zweck Treibhausgasemissionen von entwässerten Moorstandorten zu reduzieren ohne die Bewirtschaftung bei flurgleichen Wasserständen aufzugeben. Darüber hinaus sollen Verwertungsketten für Biomasse entwickelt werden, um den Landwirten eine Nutzungsperspektive für nasse Moorstandorte zu bieten.

         Mit der Umsetzung des Paludi-Vorhabens soll durch eine Anhebung und Stabilisierung der Wasserstände der Torfverlust gebremst werden. Hierfür sollen bestehende Staueinrichtungen saniert und zusätzliche Anlagen gebaut werden. Mithilfe von Dämmen soll die Projektfläche für die Etablierung von unterschiedlichen Anbaukulturen hydrologisch unterteilt werden. Die Dämme dienen dabei nicht nur der Wasserhaltung, sondern auch als Transportweg für die Erntetechnik.

         Ein Konzept für die Einrichtung der Paludi-Pilotfläche wurde im Rahmen einer Vorplanung (KUTIWA 2023) bereits erarbeitet. Basierend auf diesem Konzept soll die Planung (LP 3-9) fortgesetzt werden. Dabei soll eine Mischvariante aus den von KUTIWA erarbeiteten Planungsvarianten ausgearbeitet und umgesetzt werden. Die Genehmigungsreife wird für 2024, die bauliche Umsetzung im darauffolgenden Jahr angestrebt.

         Für die Ermittlung der gegenwärtigen hydrologischen Bedingungen im Bereich Polder Grenztal Sandhagen und Putzarer See als Voraussetzung für das Paludi-Projekt wurde 2022 ein hydrologisches Gutachten (geohydraulische Modellierung) beauftragt, welches im 4. Quartal 2023 vorliegen wird.
