         Die LVR Klinik Köln plant einen mehrgeschossigen Ersatzneubau in Passivhausbauweise für das bestehende Stationsgebäude V, das in Containerbauweise errichtet ist. Die durch den Rückbau entstehende Lücke soll wieder geschlossen werden. Im Zusammenspiel mit den Bestandsgebäuden entsteht ein geschlossenes Karree mit attraktiver Innenhofsituation. An zentraler Stelle der Gesamtanlage entsteht so ein neuer Mittelpunkt in zeitgemäßer Architektursprache. Das Raumprogramm verteilt sich auf insgesamt fünf Ebenen und ist in die Nutzungen: Tagesklinik, Ambulanz, GKV-Station und WL-Station gegliedert.

         Der Neubau umfasst ein Krankenhaus-Bettenhaus (UG bis 3.OG, 26.293 m³ BRI) mit Außenanlagen.

         Die Arbeiten werden bei laufendem Betrieb des Krankenhauses unter strikter Trennung des Bau- vom Klinikbetrieb durchgeführt.

         Bei den nachfolgend beschriebenen Arbeiten handelt es sich im Wesentlichen um Fenster-, und Fassadenarbeiten zur Ausbildung der Fassadenbänder inklusiv externen Sonnenschutz (Textilscreen), Pfosten-Riegel-Fassade und Außentüren.
