         Gegenstand der Spezifikation ist ein Gerät für Resonanzsäulenversuche (kurz: RC-Gerät). Im RC-Gerät wird eine zylindrische Probe bei torsionaler Scherung zur Resonanz gebracht und daraus die Steifigkeit sowie die Dämpfung im Bereich sehr kleiner bis kleiner Scherdehnungen ermittelt. Alternativ werden auch statische Torsion mit größeren Scherdehnungsamplituden, eine Biegeverformung sowie eine axiale Stauchung (beide bei sehr kleinen Dehnungsamplituden) untersucht. Das Gerät ermöglicht die Untersuchung von Proben mit Durchmessern zwischen 50 mm bis 300 mm bei Zelldrücken bis 3 MPa.
