Feasibility study for offshore wind energy in the Turks and Caicos Islands
This specific contract notice is part of the ongoing Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) 22-SAD-S002-GO "Green Overseas Expertise Network". Operators are invited to integrate the DPS in order to bid when the call for tender is published on the French procurement platform “PLACE” by 27/10/2023.
The Turks and Caicos Islands
The assignment aims to assess the technical, financial, and socio-environmental feasibility of both fixed and floating offshore wind energy farms in the TCI, thereby allowing for a comparative feasibility assessment of both technologies (fixed vs. floating) and key recommendations regarding their possible development in the TCI between 2025-2040.
The assignment includes 4 workstreams (Technical feasibility, Financial viability, Environmental impacts and socio-cultural acceptance, Feasibility study) and an optional component (roadmap for the development of offshore wind energy in the TCI and participation in a results dissemination event).
This assignment requires expertise and experience in the following areas, preferably in environment similar to the Caribbean: fixed and floating offshore wind energy engineering; economic and financial analysis of offshore wind energy or more broadly renewable energy project development; social and environmental impact assessment of offshore wind energy or more broadly renewable energy project dev

Operators interested in tendering as a consortium must integrate the DPS as a consortium before the publication.
