VR-Group: Integrated planning solution - Invitation to participate

Description: The scope of the procurement is concerning Integrated Planning Solution. The Procurement also includes implementation and support services for the integrated planning solution (Hereinafter “Suunta” or “Solution”). Also, procured services includes, but are not limited to following: • Software Service provided as COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf Software) with private cloud deployment, SaaS (Software as a Service) or a combination of these two, including all necessary licenses and software upgrades. • Delivery and Implementation Project • Integration Implementations required for system interoperability. • Migration services to ensure a successful transition. • Training Services (e.g. train-the-trainer) related to both implementation and effective use of the Solution. • Operational responsibilities in accordance with the provided Software Service, including: • Support and maintenance • Monitoring and administration • Continuous services • Continuous system development • Expert Services, ordered separately as needed, to support the Solution lifecycle. VR seeks supplier who can demonstrate maturity and capability to deliver an integrated planning solution. The new Solution will replace the current crew planning system and the current transportation and rolling stock planning system. The scope of the procurement covers an Integrated Planning Solution mainly VR"s Railway Logistics and Long-Distance traffic business. However, the Solution may also be used in other business areas and VR Group entities. The preliminary description of the procurement is described in more detail in Annex 1 "Preliminary Description of Integrated Planning Solution". The subject of procurement is preliminary, and it will be specified during the procurement procedure. All requirements for the procurement, as well as the contract terms, will be defined during the procurement procedure. Requirements will be specified during the negotiation phase and the final requirements regarding the whole procurement will be described in the final invitation to tender.
