The contracting institution is the Department of
Cellular and Molecular Medicine (ICMM), a
renowned academic institution with a strong
commitment to research and innovation. Our
department is home to a diverse community of
scholars and researchers, dedicated to advancing
knowledge in their respective fields. We have a
robust infrastructure that supports a wide range of
research activities, and we continually invest in
state-of-the-art equipment to facilitate cutting-edge
research. Our institution fosters a collaborative
environment that encourages interdisciplinary
research. The purchase of the SKYSCAN 1272
CMOS microCT machine aligns with our mission to
stay at the forefront of technological advancements
in research
The intended procurement is the SKYSCAN 1272
CMOS microCT machine; a state-of-the-art imaging
system that utilizes micro-computed tomography
(micro-CT) technology to provide high-resolution,
non-destructive 3D images of a wide range of
materials. The rationale for this purchase is to
enhance our research capabilities in high-resolution
imaging. This state-of-the-art machine will allow us
to obtain detailed three-dimensional images of a
wide range of samples, improving the accuracy and
efficiency of our analyses. The planned use of the
product is for various research projects that require
in-depth morphological studies. The machine will be
integrated into our research facility at Department of
Cellular and Molecular Medicine at Panum Institute,
Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University
of Copenhagen and will be accessible for both
internal and external researchers.

The selection of the SKYSCAN 1272 CMOS
machine is a result of a meticulous
evaluation process aimed at finding the
most optimal solution for our need.
Our laboratory has limited space to
accommodate the microCT machine and
our benches have a maximum width of
118 cm.
SkyScan 1272 CMOS (which is 118 cm
wide) is the only machine that can fit in
the designated space in our lab, while
meeting all our technical requirements
(e.g. Nominal resolution: smaller than
0.45 microns).
